Mecury 800 serial 3192882 fuel pump ????

I have replaced my fuel pump, but looking at maybe replacing the check valves I have noticed the fuel pump kit that fits my application has a couple of extra's (spring.etc).I dont know wether I am missing something here or thats just something that doesnt belong on my type of fuel pump.I added a couple of pic's.The one set doesnt fit (different style 1970 I think) Mine is a 72 but this fuel pump set has parts in it that I have no clue where they go.Anyone know whats up???

Most of those kits are multi-fit and you will find that they are some parts that are not for your engine....

Thanks I was wondering where to put the spring etc.I got to thinking maybe I was missing something.I have had the fuel pump off several times and never saw any place to put the extra's. Thanks again .
