Mecury 90HP Force

I am intrested in purchasing my first boat- a 17'cc with a 5 year old 90 hp Mecury Force. Does anyone have suggestions or feelings on the reliablity of the Force?

a force is a cheaper edition of the merc and just like merc it is reliable

If you really want to be technical...a Force is an Extension of Chrysler...with some Mercury parts. Depending on the model...some were quite good...while others were tempermental.<br /><br />TMD

Thanks for the info. The comments I have found regarding the Force have not been negative just that it is the cheaper line of Mercury.
