I cant find a part# cross for my prop 4832750-19. I am assuming that this is a 19 pitch but don't know the diameter. If so why is there a 17 stamped on the side of the prop. I have 2 and both are the same. Next question this motor is on a 17' glastron trihull and I am currently getting 4500 rpm and 30mph. Does this seem low? Should the max rpms be 4800-5300? Should I go to a 17 prop, and what diameter? I guessed the weight of the loaded boat at 2200lbs.

Re: Merc 1000 Prop question

Your prop 48-32750 is a very small dia wheel that is NLA, michigan wheel crosses to 992105/13+19,if your wheel has been repitched to a 17 it would cross to a 992104/13 1/4+17, both would need a hub kit 991002 and may need a extra shaft spacer if there is not one already on the shaft already. your RPM is a little low. You need to have the pich cked to see what it is, tough for us to see :D :D Bob

I measured the prop dia. It is 12.5. Which seems to small. What is the effect of lower pitch and increased diameter?

Re: Merc 1000 Prop question

A rop of smaller dia. slips a little more helping the boat get on plane easier, less pitch does the same thing but can let the engine over rev at WOT
