Merc 110, 9.8 hp cowling removal

I just got a Mercury 110 9.8 hp outboard. The serial # looks like 2088397 (really beat up). This is my first Mercury and I can't figure out how to get the @#%!!{}^&*** cowling off. I've looked everywhere I can think of for a release or screw; but can find nothing. I want to pry on the front plate but that doesn't seem too bright. This thing has an aluminum wrap style cowling. Any help for this Evinrude dude? Thanks, Walt

If the serail no. is right then the back of the bonnet is round and at the back there should be release levers on the inside of the two rails at the bottom of the top cowling push down on them to release

Try getting the cowl off the pro 90 merc is it only me?
