I have been chasing the freakin motor all over the place with fuel problems. Finally have everything running good with one minor issue. When running WOT at about 5000 RPM, if I back of the throttle just about a red one it actually speeds up the engine. Push it to WOT and it slows up. It ain't a big change but it is noticeable. Any ideas? God I want another Johnson!!!

Check the alignment of the throttle plates..they may be going past WOT.

TMD

If it's not the throttle plates, you may still have a fuel supply problem. You could check by having a passenger squeeze the primer bulb at WOT and see if it picks up. Mine gave a problem like that when it had some undersized fuel fittings.
