Thanks to all who answered my previous thread !! The decision has been made to get rid of my '77 Merc 115. As it is much more expensive to rebuild than I can afford now, I am going to let this go away, and get on with boating. Sometimes retirement is a drag.

Anybody wanting a Merc 115 for parts, or to rebuild -- it is not frozen -- just ran it too lean, hot, or whatever, just let me know what that complete motor is worth to you. All cyl. have some compression, it turns over but does not run well. Easy to rebuild, great running -- but parts are also in super shape.

I found another motor that fits my present setup, so that is a five minute no-brainer. Less HP, but I didn't need what I had anyhow so no real loss -- Except for the big bucks I paid for a really sweet running motor in the first place. End of the road for the motor I have, so let me know what you think is fair, and I will consider any offer to get back on the water before the winter sets in. "New" motor is waiting ,so this has to happen soon, thanks.

Thanks, guys, the site has been great. I would be happy to let everybody know how the new motor works out. A local buyer would be super !!

Best wishes to all, Cal Drake

The larger local city is Eugene, Oregon 97405 -- Or -- Shipping city can be Creswell, Oregon, 97426. I could deliver most Oregon, Wash, sites for gas.
