Merc 115 Laser '79 Boat tilt trim problem!

Well, boat has been nice for months...now the t/trim hoses on bottom are sizzling and leaking fluid...tightened.
Now the t/trim is not working at all...the motor is running but no movement. the motor is not engaged by the hydrolics and I can lift up very easily...motor has been kicking up when throw in reverse!

It sounds loike you are low on PTT fluid. If you have the pump in the boat, find the aluminum slotted screw on the top right of the pump. Remove and fill the pump with 5W-30 motor oil. Now run the pump up for 5 sec, and then down for 10 Sec. Now run the pump up for 10 sec and down for 10 sec. It may self bleed this way. If it still doesn't work you will ned to manually bleed the cylinders.
