Re: merc 115 lower unit backwards
At the forward end (towards boat)of the lower unit cavity, where the shift shaft ends into a cam device. This cam device if installed upside down will exibit the problem you describe.<br /><br />When it has been done you will show full throttle in reverse only, low throttle in nuetral and partial in forward, just the oposite of what it should be. Thats after you have gone and reset up all the shift cabling to acomadate the problem.<br /><br />If this is the case, It requires the lower unit be fully dissasembled and reassembled correctly.
