What diameter prop should I have on a 115 inline6 Glassmaster 17'?
Looking for speed more than hole shot, so i'm thinking 17P or maybe even 19P?

Dog, Just so you know, the prop diameters are fixed by the manufacturer. You get to choose the pitch of the prop you want, and you get a given diameter.

It is hard to guess what pitch is optimum. 17P is a good starting place. If the WOT RPM is more than the suggested max RPM, go up in pitch. 2 inches of pitch will drop the RPM about 400. If the boat is a heavy deep vee, you may need to go to 15P.

If you can get 2 or 3 props to test before you buy I'd get the 15 and 17. If you have to buy on faith alone, get the 15. I used to run a 17 om my bowrider. It's an old boat so pretty heavy. And I couldn't get to 6000 rpm WOT. Bought a 15 last month, and I now break 6000, with no reduction in top speed.
