how hard is it to rebuild the fuel pump on a 78 model 1150 merc? how much will the parts cost?

the kit with gaskets and diaphragm is about $9 and is simple to do. If you want to replace the check valves they have to bought separately.

I did this exact thing on my 76 Merc 1150. It's simple. I paid $8.00 for the kit, which includes diaphram and gaskets. The job took me about 2 hours. It was really simple. Trust me. YOU CAN DO IT!<br /><br />Oh yeah, I suggest taking the starter off, to make room to work on the engine.
