Merc 120 Serial # location

New to I/O boating.
I bought a ??65' Newport?? thats what it says on title. It has a Merc 120 motor but un known on the drive. there is no
lable or serial number on the sides of the drive unit.


Where else is can I find the serial # on the Drive unit.
and where on the block can I find it.

Looks are deciving but it looks very similar to my friends 120.

Serial number tag should be on the back of the block, just above the starter.
