Very doable. Get a really good repair manual. If you follow the directions carefully, you will have no problem. Biggest thing is getting the old bolts out, you're bound to snap a couple of heads off. I like to start soaking them in penetrating oil a few days in advance of the tear-down; you'll still snap one or two. When you do, just be patient and careful, you can drill them out, then clean the threads. Once done with the rebuild, you will have a strong motor that will give many years of great service. Look around for Clams Canino, he's the "tower of power" guru here, he really LOVES the inlines!!!
<br /><br />There are special ring clamps that you'd need to place the pistons into the block with the crankshaft attached. I don't know if it can be done without those, it's a real trick even if you have them. With at least 3 bad holes, you'd be better off shopping around for parts motors and making one good one from a few bad ones. I think you'd be better off with a 150 V-6. There's no comparing them. Even a 135 V-6 would beat the snot out of an inline 150. If you gotta spend the money, invest in one of those.
