3rd yr with boat. running great until this year. mid and top feel fine just very sick feeling holeshot in comparison to prev years... any suggestions?

prev owner had removed oil inj. sys. so naturally then been mixing 50:1. i know that inj. sys. mixes much more lean at lower rpm. is this creating issues worth replacing the inj sys?

Check out the carb, maybe the mixture is too lean. Or maybe the low speed circuit in the carb is a bit clogged. Either way, seems like the carb needs to be examined, or rebuilt.

Anything weak in the secondary spark circuits (coils, wires, plugs) will usually first manifest as a hole shot problem. (drops cylinders under stress, and picks them up as rpms increase and cylinder pressures decrease.

hope it helps
