merc 150 lower unit rebuild

I just got my lower unit back from a complete rebuild. A 92 Mercury 150hp black max. What I need to know is do I need to change the lower unit gear oil after so many hours since this is a rebuild and is there a some type of break in period that I need to be aware of? Sorry for the stupid questions but I am kind of new to this and just dont want to take any more chances on having it rebuilt again. Thanks

Just the normal gear oil change as recommended in the owner's manual.

Best to use Mercury Performance gear oil when you change it..<br /><br />Cheers
