:/Don't know if anyone has had the problem. For a few years and more $$$ than I care to count with 'repair outfits', my 150hp Merc inline 6 ran good sometimes. But most of the time it would rev up fine (unless idling for long periods as in no wake zone)and then at full throttle, jump up and down by 300-400 rpms. Finally took control myself and 1. rebuilt fuel pump, 2. replaced coil (only 1 of how many ?) Motor seems to run fine (out 1 time since) although need to lean out carbs a little yet I think. Question is, does my cure sound plausable ??? OR am I barking up the wrong tree ??
