Help, i am a novice. I have a 2000 merc 150 ob. It stalls in the idle position. I want to change the fuel filter but don't know where it is located. Also, if that is not the culprit i would like to know how to adjust my idle. The location and do i do it while it is running.

Those are some very basic questions. If you need help with this, then you should really see a qualified technician. I apologize if this offends you,it was not my intention. Perhaps a service manual for your engine is in order. Buy the OEM manual from a mercury dealer. have your engine's serial number to ensure you get the correct one.

Hi, Nikky.

You need an Owner's Manual and a Service Manual.

I will move this to Outboard Questions where you will get more help.

Good luck. :)
