This has been starting ok all summer, I hadn't ran it for a few weeks and tried starting the motor and it doesn't crank over at all now.

I did verify the fuel is making it to the fuel filter when I pump the ball.

Before I check the spark plugs, I was planning to get at the carb bowl and open the drain plug to make sure plenty of fuel is making it there.

I'm not sure where the carb drain plugs are on this motor. Could use some help on this guys.

I'll attached some pics.

Thanks,
Jon

There is no drain on the carb bowl. Is this a tiller or remote model? Is.the kill switch on?

Tiller, the Kill Switch is up so I can see the word Run.

I tested both spark plugs and they both had good spark.

How do I identify\remove the Carburetor on this motor?

Thanks

Did you try spraying a gas mix into the motor? Are all the plastic pieces on the carb working? Are you using the primer?

This is a Tiller, I have the kill switch "up" in the run position.

I'm thinking of disconnecting the kill switch wiring to see if that is the issue, is that's easy\safe to do when troubleshooting the motor on a motor stand?

Thanks

I should clarify, I tested for spark on both plugs, and both have a spark.

I have a new tank of gas, and a new fuel line connected from the gas tank to the motor.

The motor acts like the kill switch is on, it doesn't turn over or act like it wants to start at all.

Thanks

Make sure spark jumps 7/16" air gap. What is. compression? If you have no spark disconnect the black/yellow wires from the switch box and check again.

Thanks Scott,

The issue was fuel or fuel line.

I couldn't find my spark plug gap tool, I did check the spark on both plugs again and it was blue and not jumping around much.

I also made sure this time that the fuel line was primed and the fuel filter was full of gas.

Tightened the spark plugs back in, and it fired right up.

I ran it choked for about 15 minutes, and then unchoked for 10 minute. Engine had strong water pressure and didn't heat up much at idel. I idled it on low for about the last 5 minutes.

The water in the tub I'm using had quite a bit of dark grime in it. I had done a De-Carb last summer with a can of Seafoam and a gallon of gas, so I'm surprised it had that much grime built up already, as I haven't this motor for a year now.

Let me know if you have thoughts on this.
