merc 18xd serial number

Serial number for my merc 18xd is A119207.
Why doesn't this number coincide with any of the serial charts i've seen?

I'm curious too as I've been looking for my serial number as well. I have A161296 as my serial number and I can't find that anywhere. I've seen an option of Belgium versions and have no idea if that may be the case with A#'s??
