Merc 200 2.5 EFI

I just purchased a boat with a 98 merc 200 2.5 efi<br />I am woundering where the water exausts from the water pump it appiers that it is comming out from <br />two small jets on the lower unit as apposed to a single jet on the upper right hand side of the motor like on my old merc 115<br /><br />is this correct ?? or do I need a new water pump?

I would check and make sure there is a pee hole and then check for obstructions. Run a piece of wire or something up into the hose or disconnect to make sure it is ok. It is possible that the thermostat is stuck or blocked w/salt? How hot does it get? Probaly a 150 degree stat.
