merc 3.0l intial valve adjustment

i had my 87 3.0l 130 hp rebuilt and head was worked . I had the rockers completely off can someone tell me the how to make intial valve adjustment once i install rockers so i dont mess anything up. if there is a specific adjustment order can you tell me what valves are what from front to back of motor, like i,e,i,e etc......... thanks

Here is a link to a newer engine than yours, but the valve adjustment is exactly the same.

Look at your intake/exhaust manifold. You can see which is intake and which is exhaust
