Merc. 4.0hp oil mix

I have acquired an older Merc. 4.0 hp and need to find the oil mix ratio.<br />I think it is a 1970 motor but maybe someone could verify that for me too. Serial number is 2925903. I was told to go with 25:1, but I want to make sure this is correct.<br /><br />Thank you!!!

Welcome to iboats, vigha!<br />Looks to me like a 1970 4hp single cylinder. The gasil mix is 50:1. Use TCW-3 rated outboard oil.<br /><br />Good luck!<br />Modellguide
