Check that you are actually engaging the gearbox. a quick check would be, with the motor not running, to remove the plug caps or engage the kill switch. Put the motor in gear and try to turn the prop by hand. If you can spin the prop in any direction then the problem lies with the gearbox. You will then have to check that the control linkages are operating correctly and they are attempting to select a gear. If that is Ok then the problem lies in the gearbox itself and you will probably need more professional help.
