I am replacing the cam seals in my merc 470 due to coolant leaking out of the weep hole. I ordered a gasket set that came with 3 cam seals but they look slightly different then what everyone describes. I have read many posts about the direction of the "spring side " of the cam seals being installed a certain way. My issue is that both sides of my cam seals have a visible spring. One side has a black rubber coating and the other side is bronze colored metal. Aside from the black rubber coating both sides look almost identical. Maybe this is an aftermarket seal? Im not sure so I thought I would ask before possibly installing the wrong seals. Here is the kit I bought from amazon..

Any input on this would be greatly appreciated. Also, Is it possible to get the cover off without damaging the oil pan gasket or am I really going to have to raise the motor enough to get the pan out for a new gasket?
Thanks in advance!
