I’m having issues with my coil not getting voltage with the “key on “ position I ran new wire harness and pertronix ignition system .. the new wire harness has a white and purple wire off the choke and the white wire leads to the coil from the choke and tha purple yellow wire is connected with it to the “+” side of coil ... the key turned over to start position sends voltage for the engine to fire and does so but as soon as key is released back to ignition I have no power to the coil . Is this white wire supposed to be the “resistance wire or is that not needed now since the pertronix coil is 3 ohm and said to remove resistor from existing setup , beennchasing power and continuity from engine to dash and still can’t figure out what’s causing this issue , any help is appreciated ! Thanks !

From manual 3 it looks like the white wire is 12v leaving the key and then is connected to the resistance wire going to the coil or you need a new ballast resistor

I don’t believe I have a white wire coming up to the key switch , I tried uploading a picture but it says file to large , but I have yellow/red and purple to key switch ... I have seen some wiring diagrams show the resisted wire coming from the choke and then to the coil but the pertronix coil says remove resistor since it is a 3 ohm coil , is there a wire I’m missing from the key switch back or is there too much resistance at the coil if the original wire loom had a resistance wire in it ? And is it possible to run a jumper wire back from key switch to power the coil if it’s already 3 ohm resistance ? Thanks for the help
