I apologize if this is in the wrong section but here goes. I've been reay interested in buying a used tahoe 19.5ft boat. Most years I'm noticing that size were the q4s. I'm having a hard time finding one in my price range with the 4.3 190-220 hp motors but have seen quit a few with the 4 cylinder 135hp. To anyone who owns this boat and has this smaller motor, are you satisfied with the power of this motor for tubing and skiing or wakeboarding?? I've been told by a couple of boat owners I know to never get the smallest motor the boat has to offer.

I completely agree. If you have lots of available power, then you just use less throttle. If you don't have enough, you're screwed...

Particularly with what you want to do (tubing, skiing, etc), I'd definitely be looking at the V6. If you can find a nice boat with the smaller engine, at a really good price. And a donor boat with a V6 in (and you have the room in the engine box on the Tahoe), why not do a swap. Then sell the small engine and be 'quids in'....
