if you engage motor (not running)put it in foward you can spin prop<br />put it in reverse you can't spin prop<br />is this normal or should it be engaged in forward and reverse<br />did hit somthing and replaced prop

In forward, you can spin it both ways, but there is a "Click" noise 1 way. In reverse it will not go move at all.

seems to have lack of power<br />full throttle with 2 people used to get up to 40<br />now can only get up to 12

never mind on engagement it does what you said it should<br />does that motor have a fuel pump diaphram

What year ? Some have "integral" pumps, 1 on each carb (Blue plastic thing), and earlier ones have 1 fuel pump only. All have diaphrams.
