Merc 500 Starter wont kick...

Here is what is going on...<br /><br />1) I turn the key and I hear a "click" and nothing happens<br />2) I took jumper cables from the battery to the starter motor and it kicks so I know the starter is good.<br />3) I tested the key switch from the top of the solenoid to ground and when I turn the key I get a voltage.<br /><br />4) My solenoid is new (I just replaced it a couple of weeks ago) but I bought another one and tried that and I get the same click. <br /><br />5) I tested the wires to see if anything was open and everythign looks fine..<br /><br />Any clues???

if u bypass selonoid it works??? <br />they selling you the right part?<br />triple check wires, but kinda strange...<br />good luck,<br />M.Y.
