Diameter really doesn't do a whole lot for a prop. It's the pitch, rake, and cup that will affect performance. If the prop fits onto the motor without hitting anything you're good to go.

wouldn't a larger diameter prop affect acceleration like too big of rims on a car?

yeah but the longer the blades the more force against the blades theys gone be. as in leverage.

well I had a chewed up 19p prop on once and now I have a decent 13X17 and it feels slower on acceleration and the motor seems bogged down compared to the beat up prop which was down to around 9 inches
