Merc. 7,4 power problem

Hi... first sorry my english is not so good..... i have a Bayliner 3488 with to Mercruiser 7,4 thunderbolt.. the sb engine runs with 700 rpms lower than the bb engine, it also smoke black in neutral gear position, i have replaced the fuel filter.. it feels like its tired, compared with the other engine.
im not sure its running on all cylinders, where shall i start searching for faults.... please help me

Ayuh,.... Sounds like the Carb needs Rebuilding....

Thanks... what do you think about an ignition problem?

can the carb. result in black smoke

Absolutely.... That's exactly Why I said what I did.....

A Full,+ Complete Service,+ Tune-Up is Always a Great Idea too...
