Merc 7.5 HP Year ??

Friend of mine has a 7.5HP Mercury very similar to the one I am needing a flywheel for. We got it running for him last weekend at their cottage. Can anyone give me a "year of manufacture" table for mercury and / or tell me what year his motor is.

Check the "sticky" threads at the top of the forum -- one of them is "What year is my Mercury outboard?". Looks like yours is a 1979:
