OK, this maybe an off the wall question but it's a new on me....I found a 1980 7.5 HP merc for my inflatable dinghy....when checking out the motor i noticed it did not go all the way down....I mean it looked trimmed in an up postion. Upon further inspection I found that it was indeed all the way down, the adjustment bar was in the lowest position and it was pysically impossible for the motor to go further down.....my qusetion, are there motors that are made for transoms that are not 90 degrees?? It seems this motor was made for a transon on an angle with the top being further back than the bottom....so it's like in the shallow water position when all the way down on a 90 degree transom........hope this isn't too confusing but it's difficult to describe............Thanks!!!
