I have been working on my dad's 1973 7.5 hp Merc75. I have rebuilt the carb, cleaned and adjusted the points, changed plugs, etc. It starts and idles well, but it seems to run a little unevenly at mid to full throttle. I want to decarbon it before I look into other possible causes. I read the post in the Engine FAQs http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=158076 about using Seafoam for this, but I need clarification about the instructions for mixing the fuel: "You'll need 3/4 gallon of gasoline and one 16oz can of Seafoam for each engine". Does this mean to use 3 or 4 gallons or does it mean 3 quarts of gasoline?
Thanks for the help,
Mike
