merc. 9.8hp what year is it?

I just bought a 9.8 merc. 110 lighting outboard and I don't know what year it is. The serial number is 3796493 and I thinks it's a 1993. Is this right? Also there is a grease leak and the prop. and I think its the shaft seal. Are these seals hard to replace? <br /> Any help would be great. Thanks...

Okay I found it. It's 3273884 is this a 1984 model?
