Merc 9.9 4-Stroke-Change Prop 4 Better Performance ??

I have a 2006 Tracker ProTeam 170 with a 9.9 Merc 4 Stroke. Due to HP restrictions in my state I knew the boat would not get up on plane. But I was expecting a little more speed. It tachs out at 4100 rpms WOT. Can I change prop size/pitch to squeeze a little more speed out of this motor ? Recommendations ?

I Don't Know thw recommended WOT rpms for That motor,........

But,........
It Sounds like you're Over-Propped Already..............

If you Don't prop it to run in the Right rpm range,......
The motor will Die an Early Death.........

Should be running between 5,000 amd 6,000 RPM's.

Check out the Mercurymarine prop selector - looks like about 7" pitch.
