Merc 90 2 stroke vs 90 optimax or 90 4 stroke

Is it just me? Or whats up with the 90 optimax? Why is it so huge compared to the old 90 2 stroke, and the 90-4 stroke is ridiculously big to be just 90hp! Whats up? My little skiff is rated for 90hp but would look like a ............................. with one of those on it! Does anyone think like I do about this? Or do I have to look at E-Techs now!!!!!
