Ahoy,
(this is on a "88" 5.0 Merc Alfa1)
OK I now have my alignment tool and the drive off. I basicly understand the process, However after reading many forums about this (which I've never done) no one has addressed the raising and lowering the engine process. With all the money I have spent in the new drive, bellows, bearing, hose, o-rings, gaskets, shift cable etc, etc, I DONT want any more mistakes or cheap way out. I read that the problem is that the front Usually needs raised because of sagging over time and/or new parts or both.
Ok I have seen the mounts for the front, located on the the Two beams. Used to do the front. Now my question, are there locking nuts? Or any special info needed to PROPERLY complete this right the first time. This may seem like a silly question but, better safe than sorry. Thanks .................
