Just bought my first boat, a 16' Northwood with a Merc 25(model year 2000 I think).<br /><br />Took it to the lake, got the thing in the water, and darned if it refused to start. Turns out it was stuck in drive/forward (had to call the dealer).<br /><br />Fine, took it out of the water and back home. Had to (of course) put it back in drive to tilt the motor. Now it's stuck in drive again.<br /><br />Anyone got any ideas on how to fix this? Sure would appreciate it.<br /><br />By the way, what would a fair price be for this motor?
