Merc cruiser throttle HELP!

[79TEMPEST]

ok guys i have a couple pics of my throttle control the P.O took it apart and gave it to me like this now im about 10 mins away from splashdown doing a final check and i have throttle control, straight forward and throttle straight back, the button is not spring loaded i have an extra spring i cant figure out where it goes??? and from about 10 O'clock until 2 O'clock there is nothing but freeplay, and finally no forward or reverse i need some serious help here if anyone recognizes this control and has a manual or knows where i can get a manual to assemble it that would be great help! Not really sure on that style, but the warm-up button should be spring loaded, otherwise it could stay in warm-up (neutral) mode.
