Just preparing mysef for the future. I have a yamaha 3.0l stern drive. Works great, no issues. The exhaust manifold and riser are getting on the old side. I realize that at some point, i will need to replace it. The exhaust riser is a slightly different bolt pattern than the merc riser. The manifold and riser are BIG money now(yammie). So, i was thinking....i have an exhaust manifold from a 2007 merc 3.0l. Would that bolt up? I had a quick look, and it looks like it would go. Both are GM 181 blocks, so it should bolt up. I could use a merc riser then, nice and cheap i saw at the iboats store, and i would be back in business. I would just have to make sure the exhaust tube would line up. I always do preventative maintenance to my drive and motor, so this is part of it.
Thanks guys... Always helpful.

If it will bolt up, you can make it work. Very important to keep the water flow correct.
