How can I tell what carb is on my 1984 Merc 140? Is the accelerator pump included in the rebuild kit?

Mercarb has one idle/air adjustment screw at the base of the carb. Rochester has two.

Accelerator pump in the kit depends on who you order the kit from.

web page

Mercarbs have a single idle mixture screw. Rochester has two.
Accelerator pump is a crap shoot with Mercruiser. some kits do some don't and they are all way overpriced for what you get.
Might try NAPA for either type carb. They carry kits that do contain the accelerator pump.
