Merc power trim questions

I have an '86 115 with the 3 ram PTT. It lifts fine but then when sitting "bleeds" off. I searched the achieves and found a couple of posts placing the culprit as check valves. Looking in the parts diagrams the only check valves I found appeared to be located in the piston assembly of the center ram. Is this actually where the pesky little check valves are located? And, if I'm going to tear this thing apart to rehab the check valves, is there anything else I should consider doing while I'm in there.

Thanks in advance. This forum is loaded with great info.

Does it bleed down all the way, or just down to the highest trim position?

Thanks for the responses. I'll check the emergency release valve, (I don't remember seeing it in the parts diagrams) and it does bleed all the way down.

Thanks, john
