I just completly rebuilt my 175xr2 engine. Found out the plastic oil drive gear on the crankshaft failed (torn up and free spinning). I just took the boat out for the first time yesterday and the oil buzzer started going off. I checked the pump and its not moving any oil. The worm gear driven off the oil drive gear will not spin when I turn the crank. I removed it and found plastic shavings on too. It seems like that new gear got destroyed again. Any ideas on whats causing this? I cant understand why the new gear would fail so quickly. Im positive it was installed correctly. Any insight would be appreciated.<br />Thanks
