had spark b4 i replaced starter rope on a 1974 # 110 9.8 hp now none at all. think it's a type 3 ign. molded black box, epoxy back, wire's molded into it. 8 wire. got out my ohm meter. every thing checks out under fly wheel. did coil test ohm meter only each one was ok. dont have a amp guage to use. cleaned all wire conections. found one wire from switch box to top cyl. was broken off at coil terminal. replaced it.any way to check a switch box back yard style ? any clue how much one would cost ? dont think its worth spending to much money on. any idea's ?
