I have an 86 merc 115 running a steel 19 and want to use a 17 steel from an 88 mariner 125 prop on it.
Now that I have it in my hands, I think it will fit but I can see that it has no notches on the hub for the tabs on the lock down washer.
How do I lock it down??

Also this prop does not have the exhaust end flared.

And the ribs that connect the hub to the barrel, through which the exhaust passes, are straight and not helical.

How will this affect performance?

As well this prop came with what looks like a bevelled hockey puck and I can think of no way to use it?

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Re: Merc to Mariner prop interchangabilty

I checked the solas props in the prop store here the numbers are the same.as far as the washer perhaps the mariner is secured differently perhaps a groove in the shaft.or a jam nut.
I didn't see a 88 125 listed 94 125 was the same number.78 up 115 was the same number.
