Merc v6 pisser?

Not getting any water out if the pisser (left hand side of engine) - pipe is clear (can blow up it easily with cowl off and it's attached at the other end)
I get water out of the exhaust ports when I blip the throttle - I assume this is not normal based on the YouTube clips I have seen.

I've run the boat flat out for 30 mins plus and it cools just fine (also fitted a new impeller) I'm just not getting anything out of the pisser - any idea why?

Might be something pushing into the outlet when it runs. Did you try running some weed eater string up the tube?

Sounds like a clog at the "T" from t-stats. You would be able to blow air thru it as it feeds the adapter plate.

Interesting idea - not thought of that.. Where are the t-stats located on my motor (91 v6 Merc 150)?

Should I fit a new one while I'm at it?

Also could this be my poppet valve sticking or is that unrelated?
