Merc Wont Run over 2500 rpm & full throttle

I have a 1986 Merc 260 HP inboard 350 cu. in. I had the carbs remanufactured and it runs perfectly up to 2500 rpm. After 2500 rpm I can give it full throttle and it wont increase power or rpm. It's twin runs perfectly.

i have the complete opposite runs fine half or wot as soon as you back off shuts down.<br />good luck
