Hello all! I've been lurking for a while now and this site is full of great information. Thanks for sharing your expertise with rookie hobbyists like myself.
I recently purchased a 1991 Ebbtide Campione 182 and was able to take it out once before having to winterize. The previous owner informed me it was difficult to start when the engine is cold. Started easy on the muffs, but I was able to confirm the hard start condition during my single outing on the water.
Anyway, I have a long list of this to do, but while tearing down the carb I noticed two of the three threaded ears on the choke housing where the screws for the choke thermostat attach are broken down the middle and missing. This leaves only one screw securing the choke thermostat in place. I have checked several mercruiser parts suppliers online and have found that the choke housing is generally no longer available for purchase separately.
Does anyone know where I can source a new choke housing?
Thanks in advance!
