i have a 1984 4 clylinder inboard merccruiser with a mercruser (out drive/stern) the boat is a 84 cuddy cabin cobia odessey183, the stern water pump was replaced and the guy told me he presure tested the seals to make sure they wernt leaking. before he started the water pump job i had milky oil inside the out drive. the guy told me he drained all the milky oil and replaced with new oil. well my boat takes in water from the back, when sitting in the water. it comes in pretty fast too. for the life of me i cant firgure out where this water is coming from i looked at the bellows and they all seem to be good. i took the out drive off and now i see milky oil all in the out drive and the bellow area. do you supposed the little rubber o ring is leaking and allowing water to come into the drive gear box? does any one know a site that shows a picture of the out drive cooling system and lubrication system? any help is greatly appreciated. also if some one replies to this post where do i go to see all the replies i get from this post?. thank you
