I'm accepted! Recieved my assurance of appointment a few weeks ago, followed by a nomination from Eric Cantor. I've wanted to go there since freshman year when my cousin applied. Anyone here a graduate or current midshipman?

Good luck the Boy Scouts have a camp out there once in a while.

I never had the pleasure to camp there but have heard great things about the hospitality they put forward to the boy's.

I'm sure you will excel in your chosen profession, and good luck in this endeavor.

I have a "KP100" lab class that all 300+ Plebe Candidates attend first trimester, so I'll see you in July.​

Be sure to get in the best physical shape possible and be prepared for long, hot days to make indoctrination as easy as can be.​

Yes, the United States Merchant Marine Academy is appx 7 miles east of LaGuardia airport. I organized the academic tours during last summer's Boy Scout visit. It's a very rewarding experience to share with a great bunch of kids.

Yes, I am definitly planning on an engineering major! I think I would like to go into propulsion engineering, but I'm not sure yet. I will be going up to visit later this month, and I will definitly contact you if I have questions!
