Hi, I have 1976 Sea Ray 240 SRV, with a TR drive, Merctrans II MCM B and Mercontrols in both the fly bridge and lower helm. At the lower helm shifter , you can’t “feel” where the gear positions are. The shifter sort of slides from one position to another with no distinct “stops” between forward, neutral and reverse shifter positions. There is very little travel between the neutral and reverse shifter positions making it hard to “Isolate“neutral and not inadvertently shift into reverse.
How can I identify which Mercontrols I have so I can get a manual for them? . Also can someone tell me which Mercruiser Service Manual I need for the Merctrans II transmission?
Any chance both the transmission and controller are covered in the same manual?

Need manual #2 for the motor and Trans. This manual does not cover the control

Look in the link below and try to find your control for parts breakdown and then search for that model manual. The bad is its so old that even finding the model the breakdowns are not very good, and are hard to read
